U.S. Bank has named veteran banker Steven Bennett as its Columbus market
president. Bennett will lead the market in company-wide efforts and
activities, and will direct commercial banking in the greater Columbus
area.

Bennett has over 24 years of banking experience in Ohio and joins U.S.
Bank from BBVA Compass, where he most recently served as market
president responsible for strategy of middle market, large corporate and
healthcare relationships in Ohio and several other states. Previous to
this he spent 16 years at Huntington Bank with responsibilities that
included commercial relationship manager, business banking team leader,
treasury management team leader and government banking director.
Bennett currently serves as a board member of the Buckeye Ranch and is a
member of the national and Central Ohio Association for Financial
Professionals. Bennett earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from
Indiana University. He is also a Certified Treasury Professional. He and
his wife and children live in the Columbus area.
