“We welcome Stacey to this new role and have every confidence in her
ability to carry on the legacy of service and support customers have
come to expect from U.S. Bank through the years,” said Richard Davis,
chairman, president and chief executive officer of U.S. Bancorp. “Our
U.S. Bank heritage runs deep in Oregon and Southwest Washington. We are
proud of that heritage and honored to carry the name that began in 1891
when the very first U.S. Bank opened its doors on First Street in
Portland.”
Dodson, who has been with U.S. Bank for 31 years, grew up on the Oregon
coast. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Willamette University and a
commercial lending degree from Western Banking Schools.
Dodson succeeds Malia Wasson, who retired from U.S. Bank earlier this
year. Dodson had been a division manager for U.S. Bank Commercial
Banking in Portland prior to this promotion, and before that was the
region manager for U.S. Bank in Central and Eastern Oregon, based in
Bend.
“Stacey has demonstrated success as a leader both within the bank and in
the community,” said Elliot Jaffee, executive vice president of
commercial banking at U.S. Bank. “She has experience overseeing all
facets of the bank, and will be a great asset to the community, clients
and her colleagues in this new role.”
Dodson is a strong supporter of community involvement and is deepening
her commitment in Portland. More than 15,000 U.S. Bank employees
volunteered 32,000 hours in the community in 2014.
While in Central Oregon, Dodson was involved with KIDS Center as a
member of the board and the Resource and Board Development Committee, a
member of the board of directors of City Club of Central Oregon, a
Central Oregon Ambassador for Oregon Public Broadcasting, and was
appointed by the Deschutes County Commissioners to the Hospital Facility
