LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 22, 2015--
Rick Hartnack, retired vice chairman and head of consumer and small
business banking at U.S. Bank, was honored by the California Bankers
Association with the “Distinguished Banker of the Year” award.

The honor, presented at the CBA’s annual Bank Presidents Seminar on
January 9, recognizes Hartnak’s 43-year career in banking. He joined
U.S. Bank in April 2005 where he retired as vice chairman of consumer
banking and member of the company’s managing committee in 2013.
In addition to his distinguished banking career, Hartnack was a pilot in
the Marines from 1967 to 1971, flying 220 combat missions over Southeast
Asia. He was awarded 14 Air Medals and the Navy Commendation Medal. He
was instrumental in bolstering U.S. Bank’s programs for veteran
customers, employees and their families.

Hartnack was a past chairman of the CBA. He also served as a member of
CBA’s Banker Benefits board of directors, as chairman of its Privacy
Task Force and a member of our Public Affairs Fund Administrative
Committee. He will be profiled in the January/February issue of the
CBA’s magazine.
