WHY:
|
|
|
Managing finances and preparing for retirement is increasingly on
the minds of Americans. As individuals reach their 50s and beyond,
this process can be daunting, as this group must make decisions and
take steps to be financially prepared for a retirement that could be
as long as their working years.

|
|
|
|
|
Consider these facts:
-
The 2014 Retirement Confidence Survey found that half of all workers
have less than $10,000 saved for retirement. That same survey also
found that half of workers 55 and older have less than $50,000 in
retirement savings (Employee Benefits Research Institute.)
-
62 percent of baby boomers report that they believe they will have to
delay retirement, according to a 2013 report from The Conference Board.
-
53 percent of American workers have not calculated how much money
they’re likely to need in retirement (2013 Retirement Confidence
Survey, EBRI and Matthew Greenwald and Associates.)
Speakers from U.S. Bank and U.S. Bancorp Investments will provide views
on a full range of financial topics, including the recently launched
