MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 10, 2014--
American Banker magazine has named two U.S. Bancorp (NYSE: USB) women
among its “25 Most Powerful Women in Banking.” Pamela Joseph and Leslie
Godridge were honored at an awards dinner at the Waldorf Astoria in New
York City, and in the magazine’s “Most Powerful Women in Banking” issue
in October 2014.
Joseph, vice chair and head of U.S. Bancorp’s payment services division,
earned the #4 position for 2014. This is the ninth year that she has
been included in the most powerful women ranking. Joseph’s division
continues to grow and innovate, bringing new products and strategies to
market.
Godridge, executive vice president and Head of National Corporate
Specialized Industries & Global Treasury Management, earned the #16
position on the list of most powerful women. This is the fourth
consecutive year she has been included in the “Most Powerful Women in
Banking” list. In 2014, Leslie’s responsibilities significantly expanded
to include Global Treasury Management, a business with more than 600
employees and revenues over $700 million. Godridge now leads the two
largest businesses in U.S. Bank’s Wholesale Banking business line.

As founder and chairman of Women Leaders in Action (WLA), Joseph
supports a team of senior women in the payments services organization
with leadership training, sponsorship and networking. In addition the
women created WLA Kids, a nonprofit group focused on supporting children
in Africa with school fees. Over the past three years the group has
helped more than 3,000 children, and provided assistance to more than a
dozen schools with books, desks, water tanks and other furnishings. The
team travels to Africa annually to visit the schools and the children.
One of the community organizations that Godridge supports includes The
Museum of the City of New York, where she has been serving as a trustee
for more than eight years. She also serves on its executive, collections
and nominating committees.
