MILWAUKEE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jul. 1, 2014--
Thousands of Fourth of July week revelers are expected to visit the
Milwaukee Lakefront on Thursday, July 3 for the U.S. Bank
Fireworks show. The show begins at approximately 9:30 p.m.
The U.S. Bank Fireworks has been a tradition in Milwaukee for more than
30 years, and enjoyed by more than one million people. The fireworks
will be launched from three barges on Lake Michigan, off the lakefront
of Veterans Park.
“The U.S. Bank Fireworks is a fun way to celebrate America’s birthday,
and it’s also a great time for families and friends to get together,”
said Bill Bertha, president of U.S. Bank in Milwaukee. “We encourage
people to allow plenty of time to get the Milwaukee Lakefront, and to
bring along their own first aid kit and other essential items, including
bottled water.”
The fireworks will be lit by igniters which will light thousands of
shells. A state-of-the-art electronic system will ensure proper timing
of the colorful displays.
This year’s fireworks show will feature many brilliant colors, plenty of
noise, and multiple level effects going off at the same time. The grand
finale will feature a fast paced mixture of brilliant colors and loud
noise at many levels in the sky. This year's display will also feature
new strobing effects, butterfly and sunflower pattern shells and bright
colored comet shells.
Best seats can be found in Veterans Park and Juneau Park. Handicap
parking is available at the north end of Veterans Park. As parking is at
a premium, going further out and catching a number of downtown buses to
the lakefront, or taking the Summerfest shuttle along Wisconsin Avenue
may be the best option. For details on the best bus route, please call
the Milwaukee County Transit System at 414-344-6711.
Due to pedestrian congestion, drop offs are discouraged along Lincoln
Memorial Drive as it will be closed to traffic. Restricted boating areas
on Lake Michigan will also be enforced during the fireworks show.
U.S. Bank is proud to be a part of the Milwaukee community. With 49
branches and more than 3,500 employees, U.S. Bank is the number one

the community.
