MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 31, 2013--
Tech savvy students have an opportunity to win up to $6,500 to help fund
their savings goal, plus $2,250 for their school, by entering the
American Bankers Association’s (ABA) Lights, Camera, Save! video contest.
“Lights, Camera, Save! is a fun way for teens to be creative with a 90
second video about saving and using money wisely,” said Erica Opstad,
manager of The Office of Corporate Citizenship and Financial Education
for U.S. Bank. “Creating a video can be inspiring to the students who
produce it and to people who view it. We look forward to seeing what
creative and fun videos students will come up with.”
“Lights, Camera, Save!” is one of several components of the ABA’s Teach
Children to Save program. The video contest encourages teens to use
video to communicate the value of saving and inspire others to become
smart money managers. To participate in the contest, students ages 13 to
18 can visit a U.S. Bank branch or visit http://www.usbank.com/lightscamerasave
for an entry form and contest details. U.S. Bank will host the first
round of judging and will submit one winning video to compete on the
national level. The contest begins November 1, 2013. Contestants need to
submit the video’s URL along with a completed entry form to U.S. Bank by
November 30, 2013.

Last year’s winner of U.S. Bank’s Lights, Camera, Save! – Lewie Kloster
of Minneapolis – says making a video about saving and using money was
rewarding. “Making a film about saving and using money responsibly let
me focus on the rewards it brings. Do not over think the purpose behind
the idea, make your video fun and relevant to everyday life,” said
Kloster.
Videos submitted to U.S. Bank's preliminary round will have the chance
to win a cash prize up to $1,500. All three winning videos from the
preliminary round, will be selected by the U.S. Bank judging panel, and
entered into the ABA's nationwide contest for a chance to win the
national grand prize of $5,000. In addition to the student prizes, U.S.
Bank and the ABA will give cash prizes to the school of the winning
students. People who have questions about the Lights, Camera, Save!
contest can visit a U.S. Bank branch or email their questions to U.S.
