Dilip Venkatachari, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Information and Technology Officer

Dilip Venkatachari is a senior executive vice president and the chief information and technology officer. He is responsible for global technology infrastructure, security, products and services, and for digital and technology transformation. He also serves on the board of U.S. Bank Europe.


Prior to joining U.S. Bancorp in 2018, Venkatachari held senior executive roles at Google and PayPal/eBay, and worked at McKinsey & Co., where he helped large U.S. and international banks accelerate their digital transformations. He also co-founded and led multiple startup companies, including Compass Labs, CashEdge and CommerceSoft.


Venkatachari earned an MBA from the Harvard Business School and master's and bachelor's degrees in electrical engineering from Rice University and the Indian Institute of Technology, respectively. He also holds more than a dozen U.S. patents in the fields of analytics, financial transactions and risk management, mobile, customer interaction technologies and digital marketing.
