John Stern is a vice chair and the chief financial officer. Stern has been with the organization since 2000.
Prior to becoming head of finance in 2023, Stern held various leadership positions of increasing responsibility within the company, including president of the organization’s Global Corporate Trust and Custody business from 2021 to 2023 and corporate treasurer from 2013 to 2021.
Stern serves on the board of Greater MSP (the Minneapolis Saint Paul Regional Economic Development Partnership) and recently served on the board of the Alzheimer’s Association, Minnesota-North Dakota Chapter.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas.
