Greg Cunningham, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Community Impact and Inclusion Officer

Greg Cunningham is a senior executive vice president and chief community impact and inclusion officer. He joined the bank in 2015 as vice president of customer engagement, was promoted to chief diversity officer in 2020 and added responsibilities for financial health, Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) strategy, and community engagement efforts in 2025. Cunningham also serves as chair of the U.S. Bank Foundation board.


Cunningham leads the company’s inclusive growth strategy. In 2021, he led the launch of U.S. Bank Access Commitment®, the company’s long-term approach to help close the wealth gap.


Previously, Cunningham spent 16 years at Target Corp., where he led lifestyle marketing.


Cunningham serves on the National Board of Directors for the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) the nation’s largest minority higher education organization. He also serves as advisor for Commerce Ventures, an early-stage private equity firm located in San Francisco.


Cunningham earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Clark-Atlanta University, a UNCF member school, and an MBA from Fordham University in New York City.
